I'M CONTENT TO BE A BRIC-A-BRACKER & A CERAMIKER
Mark Twain
My name is Jane Piqué I have been living in Amsterdam since 1979. I was born in Suriname in a small village called Onverwacht and this is also where my journey into ceramics began.
Working with clay has always been a passion of mine which started in my childhood in a very playful way by making toys such as dolls, spoons, buckets, etc. The way I work now is based on free expression meaning I never know in advance which sculpture, statue or mask I will create. When working on a piece the clay itself leads the way into which sculpture I will create. These are different forms made by hand which will later become the foundation on which I continue to work.
I have been working professionally with clay for the last 20 years and I am still learning.
My Work page will give you an impression of some of my work.
If you are interested in one of my pieces, please do not hesitate to contact me through this website.
Kind Regards,
Jane Piqué
I do Commission Works too!
Not only that I produce the wide range of sculpture, statue and mask for exhibition, but I also do commission works with individuals on bespoke sculptures and masks for on site installation which are suitable for corporate, domestic and the public.
Feel free to contact me for discussion on commission works ideas.
